Texas Coast Duck Hunts
South Texas is one of the last great waterfowl hunting destinations in the world.
Duck Hunting the South Texas Coast
One of the last great waterfowling destinations on the Texas coast. Big flocks of Redheads and Pintails abound the shallow saltwater marsh of the lower laguna Madre. It is listed as one of the top 10 waterfowl hunting destinations in the United States. Besides the big flocks of redheads and pintails most hunts have a good variety of species harvested almost daily. Widgeon, Greenwing and bluewing teal, gadwall, Mottled ducks, northern shovelers, greater and lesser scaup are the most common species. We do get some cinnamon teal, ruddy ducks, canvasbacks, and snow geese each year but not as common.
How we Hunt
We operate a small family guide service taking pride in providing the best hunt possible for everyone in camp. We stay mobile utilizing airboat transportation to ensure we can access anywhere we want to go in the marsh. We typically set mobile hunting blinds daily to ensure we are where the birds want to be and hunting different spots to keep us on fresh birds daily.
All ladies hunts are guided by Captain Jessica.
Hunt Packages
We do not have specific hunt packages. Our trips are all about what you want to do. Most people come into camp three to five days on hunting trips. That being said, we can customize any duration of days and what you want to do with them. Most groups continually come back since we get to hunt and fish on the same day. For example: On a three day trip will hunt/fish two of the days and the third hunt the morning and take off after the last hunt. There are a variety of different things we can do to customize the outing. All packages include a nights lodging the night before your hunt and brunch after the hunt. Many days we take the afternoons as we go. The more days you book means more flexibility you have to hunt, fish, or relax.
What Separates us From the Rest?
We take pride in doing the best out of anyone given the conditions that day. We do not like to come back to the ramp with a smaller strap than someone else. We put in the extra work to make sure that doesn’t happen. Our captains will drive to hunt the farthest, scout the most, and pay attention to as many details as possible. We try and keep our equipment in optimal working condition to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
